It is good to report that the initial work identified for restoring the organ at All Saints has been completed and, as a result of a highly successful fund raising exercise, we are now able to proceed to a stage two refurbishment of some of the internal workings. This was work identified at the time of the initial restoration and we were expecting to hear that further work would be needed. Hopefully, this will be concluded over the coming month or so and we shall have a fine working example of this valued and rare specimen!
Our thanks are due to all who contributed, both great and small and especially to those members of the Friends who worked so hard to create a special fund raising event in August which lifted us to within touching distance of our target.
Subsequent donations have helped the church to achieve its targeted £30,000 within six months- a truly amazing achievement!
The Organ Fund will remain open for further donations until all necessary final work has been completed.
